Bread and bakery products
Bread and bakery products are among the most popular items for daily consumption. Due to their texture, moisture content, and sensitivity to external factors, they require special storage conditions. High-quality packaging serves not only a protective function, but also a logistical and aesthetic one — helping keep the product fresh, attractive, and safe from the moment it is produced until it reaches the consumer’s table.
Key properties of bakery product packaging:
- Tear resistance. During high-speed bread packaging on automated lines, packaging undergoes mechanical stress. Durable film prevents tearing, maintaining product integrity and ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Antistatic properties. Bags that do not build up static electricity do not stick together. This greatly simplifies the automatic packaging process and minimizes line stoppages.
- Controlled slip. The optimal coefficient of slip ensures easy bag opening, smooth movement along conveyors, and precise sealing — a key advantage for automated lines.
Material that meets the requirements: CPP film
Cast polypropylene (CPP) — an unoriented polypropylene film — is an ideal material for bakery packaging, offering a number of unique characteristics:
- High vapor permeability. This is especially important for hot or warm bread often packaged immediately after baking. CPP film prevents condensation, preserving the texture and aroma of baked goods.
- Excellent transparency. Thanks to its high clarity, the product looks appealing on the shelf — consumers can immediately see its freshness and quality.
- High-quality printability. The material allows for vibrant, abrasion-resistant printing that reinforces brand identity and conveys freshness and premium quality.
